How Is It Made?
Step 1
COLORBOND® steel is manufactured by applying Zincalume® base (alloy of zinc, aluminium, and magnesium) to the sheet of steel. Zincalume® has impressive properties in eliminating rust formation, which make it an ideal base for roofing products.
Step 2
After the Zincalume® base is applied, the steel is primed with a layer of polyester and, as a final step, a top quality paint is baked on top of the surface.
